Octopus CI S2 Pro Twin CI not detected by astra

Recommended Posts

I just bought this card from Digital Device Octopus CI S2 Pro Twin,

I thought this card is professional for IPTV streaming and will be better than TBS .

CI modules are not working in Astra 5.61, also Signal bars are empty it shows only 2%

FTA channels are working ok.

CI modules has to be piped probably ??

Please look the pictures.

Here are logs from dmesg

DD is very stable hardware, but i see CI-slots in /dev/adapters ????  I have 2 DD Twin Pro, so, i must to have 4 adapters in dvb folder, right? But i have 8 adapters (4 adapters is CI, and i don't know why? and don't know working they are or not with CAMs now) =)))) I don't tried to use CI slots, but must to use it in future. And don't worry about signal level - 2% & 0% is a little bug in drivers - cards is working fine.

________

P.S. i used drivers from developer's site and i don't installed other adapters in server, only DD.

@BORSCH: Astra reads the cams from this path  /dev/dvb/adapter0/ca0 but in my case the cams are not located in adapter0 and adapter1, they are separated in /dev/dvb/adapter2/ca0 and /dev/dvb/adapter3/ca0 , I don't know why. I think I have to redirect them somehow and then astra will be able to read them.

I don't speak russian language, but some experienced user can help  :)

I use drivers from DD dddvb/archive/0.9.22.tar.gz

I tried to import over web interface but this code can't be imported it says  import failed attempt to index field 'tail' ( a nil value)

adapter2 = ddci({
upstream = multiplex1.tail:stream(),
adapter = 2,
})

seems ddci.c module is not compiled in astra extended ?

mpts not inlcluded in astra free  :banghead:

Some experienced user maybe can help ? :)

@CrazyCat

Recently I have installed my server with CentOS 6.8 64 bit

I tried to compile the driver but it fails on make command, also I tried your patched drivers but same compile error.

@CrazyCat, revert back to CentOs 7  3.10.0-327.28.3.el7.x86_64

Now your signal ratio is fixed and works ok.

But I notice strange error in dmesg

 dmesg |grep error
[    0.888857] ioapic: probe of 0000:00:15.0 failed with error -22

Yesterday I bought these two cards TBS devices TBS-6290 SE and TBS-6910. Both cards are on the same server with Octopus CI S2 Pro Twin. But the cards are not detected.

info

CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)

uname -r

3.10.0-514.10.2.el7.x86_64

Drivers installed by this way

rm -rf /lib/modules/${version}/kernel/drivers/media

then
1. tar jxvf linux-tbs-drivers_xxx.tar.bz2
2. cd linux-tbs-drivers
3 ./v4l/tbs-x86_64.sh
4 ./v4l/tbs-dvbc-x86_64.sh

5. make

6, make install

7. reboot

dmesg log

if I remove ddbridge card, and recompile drivers then both TBS cards works ok.

What can be the problem ?
